While Vegas believes as a McDavid, Crosby meeting in the finals is the most statistically probable, Tampa Bay being third with 12 to 1 odds is shocking. While they have a proven track record of playoff success, Tampa fell short of making the playoffs last season. The next closest team on this list to miss the playoffs is Dallas at 14 to 1. The odds makers believe that Tampa can re-establish their dominance in the East with a healthy Stamkos, and a young goaltender in Andrei Vasilievsky.
Dallas acquired Methot, Bishop, Radulov and Hanzal in the off-season making arguably the best moves this summer. After missing the playoffs by a wide margin, the Stars are 11th in Stanley Cup odds. Ahead of Anaheim, San Jose, Boston and Ottawa (all playoff teams last season).
