Durant’s likelihood at Finals MVP is not a response to his game last evening. The odds makers in Vegas believed him to be the problem the Cavs couldn’t solve. And he is proving them right. Last season, the Cav’s completed the greatest comeback in basketball. With Durant on the Warriors, he was the missing piece that Cleveland could not solve.
Durant was just too long, too skilled and played on too good a team to not be properly utilized. Lebron, in tandem with Kyrie did all they could to try and outscore the trio of shooters on the Warriors, breaking records in the process. Much respect to the the King, he proved he is still the best player in the world, he just isn’t on the best team this year.
The NBA season has come to a close, with the Golden State Warriors claiming the NBA Championship once again.
